With fall setting in and the daylight hours decreasing, you may be finding it hard to get motivated.
Or maybe you have been working for home for the last 18 months and you are simply tired of motivating yourself.
Either way, this is a signal that maybe you need a few tips to help you increase motivation.
We have put a few ideas down for you to follow to help get yourself back on track.

Create (and repeat) new positive habits
This doesn’t mean that you need to restructure your life, unless that’s what you really want to do.
Sometimes it’s the small or simple changes that we make that end up giving us the most amazing results.
This could be something simple like taking 5 minutes in the morning to breathe (while drinking your coffee, of course) and thinking about what you are grateful for, and what you are looking forward to doing today.
Or maybe it’s taking that same 5 minutes and running through positive affirmations while keeping your mind clear of the activities that lay ahead.
The point is to make small, and realistic habits to better start your day.

Simplify your life
A lot of us have gotten caught up in the clutter of daily living.
Whether it’s due to external influences or self-imposed, now is the time to simplify.
By eliminating activities that don’t motivate you, you can focus your time and energy on what makes you happy. By delegating these tasks, you will be freeing up your time, increasing your motivation.
One of our favorite ways to simplify doesn’t include technology or spending money. It is simply getting outside and appreciating what is around us.
What's been your favorite way to simplify?
Set goals that are attainable
You have recently decided that you want to run a marathon before your next birthday. Great!
But don’t frustrate yourself by making your first run 10 km if you’ve only ever run 2 km. Set up those goals so that they really are attainable, yet hard enough to keep you motivated.
Then enjoy the journey!
This is true in every part of your life.
Focus on your accomplishments
Use your daily accomplishments to motivate you to keep going.
Even if you have had a day where you maybe aren’t as productive as you hoped, remember to look at the bigger picture and see what you have accomplished.
This will improve your motivation to make tomorrow can be even better.

Increase energy
There are lots of ways to gain energy!
The best ways to increase your energy are by getting fresh air, exercising, getting enough sleep, and watching what you eat.
Not only do these things increase your serotonin levels, by the physical distraction can also help you to clear your mind.
Even if you have switched to working from home, you can still exercise or get outside for some fresh air. Whether it be a walk to the grocery store or streaming your favorite yoga video, get moving!
Develop a mantra
Now that you have increased your motivation, you want to keep it. This can be done by reinforcing your positive mindset.
Take time to choose your own personal mantra. It can be simple like 'I believe in me', or 'today will be a great day because...'
Developing a mantra can help you boost your motivation!
At the end of the day, remember to take time and breathe. Relax, be present, and focus on the positive! Thanks for reading, have a fantastic day!
